AUSTSWIM is proud to partner with Swim Australia and Life Saving Victoria to deliver the Water Safety in Schools Initiative in Victoria which aims to build workforce capacity and strengthens schools’ ability to deliver high-quality swimming and water safety education, particularly in communities where the need is greatest. The program is funded by the Victorian Government's Department of Education.
Participants from eligible schools can access a nationally recognised training pathway, combining online learning, face-to-face practical training and workplace-based support. Successful participants gain the Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (SISSS00132) qualification and an AUSTSWIM Teacher License, enabling them to support school and community aquatic programs.
Why not add ‘swim teacher’ to your skill set for free through the Victorian Department of Education’s Water Safety in Schools Initiative which is providing fully funded Swim Teacher training from December to March to help eligible Victorian Government schools strengthen their swimming and water safety programs.
