AQIA

Active Queenslanders Industry Alliance

The Active Queenslanders Industry Alliance (AQIA) works with government and industry partners to strengthen Queensland’s sport, recreation and fitness workforce.

Program Overview

AQIA-supported initiatives may provide eligible participants with access to funded or subsidised training to complete the AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (TSW) qualification through government-subsidised training.

Delivered by AUSTSWIM, these initiatives support pathways into aquatics and community recreation roles while helping address workforce shortages and build capability across Queensland’s active industries, including aquatics. Funding availability, eligibility requirements and participation conditions vary depending on the specific AQIA initiative.
