What is the Career Boost Training Program?

The Career Boost Program provides a government subsidy to support eligible individuals to take their career to the next level, enabling them to grow and apply their skills to existing or new job roles and to support productivity growth and workplace innovation. 

AUSTSWIM is an approved Queensland Government Skills Assured Supplier to deliver publicly funded training for the Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety course.

 

Funding is available for the Teacher of Swimming & Water Safety skill set (SISSS00132) through the Queensland Government’s Career Boost Program.

The program delivers training to help individuals develop the higher-level skills needed to secure employment, advance their careers, or progress to further education and training to undertake university or tertiary qualifications.

Who is Eligible? 

  • aged 16 years or older 
  • not be a school student
  • permanently reside in Queensland
  • be an Australian citizen, or Australian permanent resident (includes humanitarian entrant), or a temporary resident with the right visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency, or a New Zealand citizen
  • not be enrolled in another qualification, even if it is on hold or deferred, whether funded by DTET or not (foundation skills qualifications do not count)

How much will it cost?

Students undertaking this training are required to contribute to the cost of their training through the payment of a Co-contribution fee.

  • Concessional Candidate: $112.50 Total Co-contribution Fee / $22.50 per Unit Co-contribution Fee (5 units)
  • Non-Concessional Candidate: $162.50 Total Co-contribution Fee / $32.50 per Unit Co-contribution Fee (5 units)
  • Fee will be charged and collected upon successful eligibility check and before the course starts

How do I enrol?

Complete and return the enrolment form and supporting information. Once eligibility has been confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email with further details.
