The AUSTSWIM Teacher Licence is recognised as the industry standard for Swimming and Water Safety courses and is delivered and recognised in each state and territory of Australia and many countries overseas.

WHAT IS RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING?

The process of gaining the AUSTSWIM Licence through recognition of prior learning is currently under review.

When you have built up skills throughout your previous study and career, you deserve to have them recognised when striving for a new qualification – or wanting to renew an old one. The Recognition of Prior Learning process means that you won’t have to repeat your entire qualification to become an AUSTSWIM Teacher again.

The  Australian Qualification Framework (AQF)  regulates education in Australia and ensures that you are entitled to have your previous experience, training and skills recognised when studying for a new qualification.

The policies and procedures of each Registered Training Organisation (RTO) will be different when it comes to assessing your eligibility for RPL, but the basis of having your past training and skills be acknowledged remains the same. At AUSTSWIM, we provide RPL as a legitimate and fast-tracked pathway for you to regain your accreditation and be issued an AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Licence, allowing you to return to the work that you love.
